Jaclyn Ann Mahoney holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from University of Oregon and works as Executive Director for Daisy C.H.A.I.N. Creating Healthy Alliances In New-Mothering. She is a published author in the history of maternity care and an accomplished public health researcher. Jaclyn received her MA in American Studies, is a DONA trained postpartum doula and adores her beautiful daughters who inspire all the good work that she does.
Jennie Hawthorn Mayes is the proud mother of four young children. She is a DONA trained postpartum doula, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and has been providing free breastfeeding support in Lane County since 2009. Jennie's MA degree in Applied Women's Studies emphasized Activism and Nonprofit Organizations. When not supporting new-families, she enjoys archery, kayaking, volunteering as a Librarian and hanging out with her kids near the beautiful McKenzie River.
Gabby Macias Darzi graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. Working at the University Medical Center as a Diet Technician within the Pediatric and NICU units sparked her interest in maternal and infant health. After two years at WIC as a program nutritionist, she is excited to continue community outreach and help Lane County families find equitable family support.
Lillian Shoupe is a DONA certified postpartum doula whose goal is to help blossoming families have the rich 4th trimester they want & deserve. An active and dedicated community volunteer, she also teaches classes in hypnosis-based childbirth education, infant massage, and prenatal/postpartum yoga. She’s also a proud Mother of two and blissed out Granny to one
Kelani Larsen is a Musician, Educator and Mother. She has studied music at LCC and is a founding member of the band “The Ovulators”, who won Eugene Weekly’s “Best Local Rock Band” of 2005 and starred in two runs of the rock musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”. Kelani has also gained a knowledge of basic sign language through working with children with disabilities in the 4J school district and collected a large repertoire of circle time songs. Drawing on her passions and experiences, Kelani developed Baby Pop Music, an interactive singing and signing playgroup for babies and their caretakers.
Olivia Shapley postpartum doula in training is the creative mind behind Daisy C.H.A.I.N.'s in house art and visuals development. Her artwork is frequently featured on Facebook and Instagram, inspiring the community to check out programs and donate to the cause. She is the supportive mother to a happy, healthy, breastfeeding child.
