Services are available for ALL Lane County families during the first 14 days post-pregnancy, regardless of hospital stay or referral date.
Parents welcoming a new child via adoption are eligible for homevisiting services for the first 14 days after adoption.
All homevisiting clients will receive one (1) assessment from an IBCLC, at which point the necessity for follow up services will be determined.
All Postpartum Doula services are scheduled in 2 hour time blocks for a total of 10 hours available during the first 14 post-pregnancy (or first 2 weeks after adoption).
Postpartum Doula Care applies to emotional, physical and educational support only, including breastfeeding/infant feeding support. The Doula does not perform clinical or medical tasks such as examining the mother or baby, or taking temperatures, blood pressure checks, or any other type of postpartum clinical care.
Postpartum Doula Caredoes not cover medical care or instruction and is not a substitute for care from your midwife/ob and pediatrician or primary care practitioner.
